Who's Responsible To Lose That Weight Anyway?

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 187-pounds.
That's down from yesterday.

I commented on someones blog who wrote something about letting people hold someone accountable for their weight loss.
The person claims that weight loss is a community affair, and that it's inspiring to others.

I am not going to name the person, or try to embarrass anyone.

Here is how I view the community weight loss thing: "Bull Crap."

I am not saying that I don't think people need a coach if let's say they want to play golf. I am not saying that people don't need help once and a while gaining a concept.

I am not against community efforts when it comes to let's say launching the Space Shuttle, or building a giant airplane.

What I do have a problem with is expecting someone to coach you to lose weight, and exercise some. Here is why. This is a life long commitment to lose weight.

When I embarked on this "personal challenge," I didn't have anyone to help me. No one was around to help me keep the food out of my mouth that got me bloated in the first place.

I certainly don't expect anyone to be around to help me keep my sticky fingers off the sticky cinnamon buns.

And, who am I going to call anyway, "Eaters Anonymous?" Who am I going to tell that I am tempted to eat more than I should?

No, this weight loss thing is my baby. No one, not anybody on this planet, can keep me from putting into my mouth the things that I shouldn't.

On the other hand there are plenty of people out their who can tempt you to overeat. Isn't that strange?

I have a cousin who insists that I eat the cake she makes. I have friends who want to dine out and waste money. It's not enough to sit at a clean kitchen table to eat, drink, and talk there. No we have to have the atmosphere too.

Meanwhile all my friends are fat, except two. One guy runs a lot, and if he didn't he would surely blow back up to where he was two years ago. He knows it too.
But, I can't call him up and say, "Did you run today?" He'd get real tired of that, and so would I.

Here is what I am trying to say; It's up to you to go through what ever it takes to lose weight. No one can make you put down the donuts. No one can make you reduce down your food portions. No one is going to suffer your hunger pains. No one lives in your skin.

It's up to you to finally have that little talk with yourself that will give you the resolve you need. You have to say to you, "What ever it takes, I am going to lose the weight I need to, and then keep it off."

I'm sorry, I can't do it for you. I don't want to either. I have enough to deal with on my own.

Does that sound mean? It's not. You have to live with you. You wake up in the morning, and you look in the mirror. You see those ripples of fat. What are you going to do about them?

You know what you eat; even in secret.

And, who on the Internet is going to tell me how to live? I can get some ideas, but ultimately every one's life experiences are unique.

I guess I have one or two people who watch what I write and get inspired by it. Honestly, I shouldn't be a steady diet. Eventually I expect someone to master their own appetite.

If you don't, and I don't then we will suffer the ultimate consequences. We'll get fat (Preponderant) and stay that way.

Bye for now...

Beginning That Slow Agonizing Weight Decent

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 187.6-pounds. That's down from yesterday's weight.

I don't think that's so bad, considering that just four days ago I was tipping that scale at 192-pounds two days back to back. Oh boy.....

Now folks, I have no one to blame for this but me....

If you will check my archives from 2007, and 2008, you will see I managed to maintain 180-pounds for over one year.

I got impatient, and wanted to get to 170-pounds, and then 160-pounds. I started tinkering with my diet, instead of eating everything I did, but much less of what many call a normal portion.
This is where I got into trouble. I started craving sweets like you would not believe.

I think I also reached a point, albeit a temporary time period, where I was thinking I could get away with eating more than I should. Well, you see the results.

I Am A Preponderant
I am a Preponderant. I haven't written that term for a long time. It means to tip the scales in the wrong direction. It's usually a term, preponderance, used in a court of law. It means to over whelm with evidence, or to tip the scales of justice; as in the preponderance of evidence.

I adapted the term to Preponderant. I morphed the term to mean a person who tips the scales in the wrong direction.

I am a Preponderant. I am very much like an alcoholic. Only my addiction isn't alcohol, it's food.
I have a slow metabolism. There isn't very much I can do about that, except add in some exercise to offset some calories consumed, and to condition my body.

If you are like me, then you too are a Preponderant. You aren't like that guy who can chow down on two big hot dogs on a bun for lunch, each half of a pound of French Fries, then a large coke, and still stay thin like a sapling tree. I am not that lucky.

If you are like me, then you have to admit, you are a preponderant. That's a nice term for stating you are fat. You may be a little fat, let's say 20 pounds or so like me. Or, you may be a lot fat, like I was, at 80-pounds over my normal body weight.

None-the-less, I was a preponderant, and still am. And I don't have the luxury of being able to consume everything my little heart desires. You don't either. So sorry about that, I really am.

I wish that it were different. As my dad used to say, "Wish in one hand, then crap in the other. Which one weighs more?" That's a crude way of saying "Wishing" doesn't count for anything.

Walt Disney Studios had a cartoon they made where Jimmy Cricket sang, "When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true." That's all cute for children, and for fantasy, but you and I must face the cold hard reality.

We can wish that things were different than they are with our bodies. But wishing on a falling star isn't going to change the fact you weigh more than you should.

It's also not going to change the reality you may suffer adverse effects as a result; diabetes, heart trouble, joint problems, etc..

I want it to be different, but it's not.

What Must Be Done To Change Our Preponderance?
Well, you must first admit you are over weight. Like the alcoholic, or the drug abuser, you must come to accept that you have a problem with your weight. It could be 20-pounds, and then it could be 100-pounds.

Then you have to make a simple plan to lose the weight. It has to be a simple plan, because if it gets too complicated, then you won't follow it for long.

My plan was to keep a very simple food log. I had everything that I ate and drank written in a spiral note book. I didn't make columns, or fancy pages. I just wrote what I ate. Later I began estimating the calories to the best of my ability, and added those calories next to my food.

You'll be truly surprised about the amount of food, and drink you consume if you'll keep a written record throughout the day.

You'll be even more amazed when you start tabulating the calories for each food, and drink item on your list. That 20-ounce coke is 250-calories. That ice cream sandwich is 160 calories. That pint of Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Ice Cream is 600 calories. That Cinnamon Sweet Roll is 600 calories.

It's easy to over look what is causing your weight problem when you aren't paying attention to the food you are consuming.

You have to monitor your weight. There are people who think that weighing in once a month is enough. Some people weigh in once a week. I weigh most every day. I have too.

Has weighing in everyday saved me from regaining 12-pounds? No, it hasn't. However, I knew that I was gaining weight again. I was gaining as much as one pound per day. That's a lot.

This is how screwed up my metabolism really is. It doesn't take much food to push me over the edge and I begin to regain weight.

Unfortunately, you are probably the same way. Judging by the number of fatties I see walking around, I think I am not the only one with this problem.

Finally once you decide to implement your plan, expect it not to be easy. That's right, it's not easy to lose weight.

Expect that you will get hungry like you never got hungry before. That's right you'll get hungry, and you'll be tempted to eat the wrong things. This is where you'll have to have the resolve to avoid breaking your diet plan.

Don't believe the Magazines, and the so called experts in the news media. I was reading in a major magazine that stated counting calories doesn't work. The author wrote if you just bulk up on certain foods, then you won't be hungry for the wrong foods. That's a lie. You'll still want that ice cream even after you've swallowed a pound of green beans.

I am here to tell you, "It sucks trying to lose weight. It sucks keeping the weight off. It sucks."

Don't Expect Anyone To Understand
Before I go: Don't expect anyone to understand your sacrifice. Don't expect anyone to be supportive, not you're spouse, not your children, not your mother, or your best friend. Accept this is your gig, and that's it.

One would hope that those who are closest to us to support our efforts, but they don't live in your skin. They don't have to lay awake at night when the Hunger Monster is gnawing in your guts.

Nope, it's you, and you alone, that has to face this Weight Monster.

You can lose weight if you want to.

Bye for now...

My Weight's Out Of Control, Will A Resolution Help?

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 188.8-pounds.

Yesterday, and the day before it, were worse than this weight.

I came in at 192-pounds two days ago, and then yesterday was 191.4-pounds. Ooooh.....

David, OINK! Yes, you are right to chide me... Ha, see if I care... Tee, Heee...

Honestly though, I haven't been real happy about this. It's more because I have been wanting to reduce down to a better weight than 180-pounds.

I was hoping to reach 160-pounds, perhaps maybe stopping at 170-pounds along the way. This is only because I have received so much criticism regarding my physical appearance.

People have commented that I would look too skinny at 160-pounds. Maybe they are right about that. However, 180-pounds puts me into the critical weight range of being over weight.

I don't care what the critics say, my frame is a small boned frame. I can get away with being down some more pounds.

Well, the critics say, "Your eyes would look sunk into your head." Yeah initially they would, until the weight redistributes itself.

Three days ago I wrote into my food log a resolve sentence. I wrote that I resolved to eat far less food than I have been.

I have been blasting through the 2000 calorie intake far too many day in a row. Many times I have actually consumed more than 3000 calories a day. Oh, shame on me....

Do you see what has happened? I have blown past 180-pounds, and regained as much as 12-pounds. For many this would cause panic. For me it's cause me some disappointment.

Am I a bit put out? Some...

Yet, I know that these things, such as regaining weight, are the realities of losing weight. Many times I have written that this is the "Battle Of The Bulge." Recently I haven't been writing very much. I haven't been very inspired to write. There are many places on the Internet a person can go to for advice. There are thousands of blogs out there.

This said, I have seen that I still have people who check in to see what I am doing. There haven't been many, but a few have.

I really don't know if I can be much of an inspiration for anyone.

Adding In Some Exercise May Help
Since I decided to lose this last regained weight, I added in just a little bit of jogging. It's not much. Snails, and slugs move faster on the sidewalk than I do.

I have to suffer through the mental anguish that I can't do what I did 25 years or so ago. My body has become rickety, and I feel much like the "Tin Man" from the "Wizard of Oz." My joints scream for oil. My muscles cry out ouch. My breath has been heavily labored.
My brain has said, "David, you are an idiot. Stop, or I'll give you a heart attack."

I have realised that in order to push myself beyond what I have been able to do with portion control, I may have to add exercise to the mix. It's not an option that I have been looking forward to.

I have a friend who has weighed in on my attempts to get my "arse" into gear. He has warned me, "Don't do too much too soon." Yep, he's right.

I like you wanted to see progress rapidly. I am risking injury as a result.

So, as the summer progresses, let's just see how I do.

Weight Hurdling Out Of Control

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 191-pounds.
Yesterday I was 192-pounds.

Oh boy... What has happened?
Well, I stopped eating those skimpy little meals that left me starving for more food.

Now, I have been feeling a lot less hungry lately. Only, look at the results. My weight is climbing.

What can I say? Not, much.

I can say this, what if I had been a weight watcher member? Then they would fine the day-lights out of me. It certainly wouldn't help me to lose weight.

No, I have to cinch my belt, and get a grip on myself.

By for now...

Is 180-Pounds Just A Distant Memory?

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 189.4-pounds.

Yep that 180-pounds I managed to maintain for over a year seems to be a distant memory.

A friend of mine asked me have I quit? The answer is emphatically no.

Why should I quit. This is where most people fail on their diets. They hit a problem with their weight, they see they are digressing, instead of progressing, then they quit. I have seen it happen all to many times.

Here is an interesting update: What can motivate you to lose weight, and quit smoking? Divorce can.

My youngest brother married a woman who was heavy and smoked cigarettes like a chimney. When he lowered the boom on her and announced he was filing for a divorce, she decided to change her ways. She lost over 50 pounds, and quit smoking cigarettes.

She should have done this before she was on the verge of losing her husband. But, she was comfortable, and didn't think she had any responsibility to change. Unfortunately her change came too late for her to save the marriage.

Now, there were other factors that effected the marriage which were more important. But, in her mind she thinks if she can look better, and stop stinking, she may win her husband back.

Unfortunately it's not going to happen. But, if you want to lose weight, just have an emotional upset. That will kill your appetite for a while at least.

Do I Believe In Sleep Therapy: NO?

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mytical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 187-pounds.

I opened up my blog to find someone sent me a comment asking if I believe in sleep therapy to lose weight. Well, since I sleep my life away... That's because of my weird schedule, perhaps I do believe in sleep therapy to lose weight.

Here is what I really think.... NO, I don't believe in sleep therapy to lose weight. I don't believe in hypnotherapy etc.

Those therapys can't eliminate the one thing that cause most people to fail losing weight, that is: HUNGER. That's right we all get hungry, and then we want to eat, because we want to stop that hunger.

What usually causes us to fail during that time is our poor food choices. That's right poor food choices. Most people when they get hungry go for the foods that are loaded with something sweet. Or, they reach for foods that are high in calories.

I Haven't Given Up

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 188.6-pounds.
OK, I am descending ever so slowly.

If only I could have applied the discipline I am using now to what I did to get me into this mess, then perhaps, I would be down around 170-pounds, and holding. Like I just wrote: "Perhaps."

I am amazed that I still have around 20 people each day that take a peek at my blog to see what I am up to. Maybe it's only so they can get a good giggle as they see I am crashing into the weight losing shore lines, being smashed up onto that shore like a ship without it's anchor in the storm.

But, that being said that mantra that I have written many times over still holds true: "Eat Less Food."

This isn't to say that it's an easy formula to follow. Indeed it's not. It's not because you like me have these desires that creep up on us from no where. These desires seem to be provoked by many different circumstances. Many of those circumstances are ultimately provoked by our built in habits.

For example: I just had a fight with a loved one. My loved one seems to have just accused me of something. I as a result feel rejected. My life long rejection has always left me empty. I as a small child learned to fill that rejection with food. As a result of my current fight with my loved one, I now turn to food to fill that void. I will head to my freezer and see if I can fill the void by consuming that remaining quart of Ice Cream.

That of course is only an example of the thousands of examples I can conjure up into my tiny brain.

I Am Not The Only One Who Lost His Composer
Today I was with one of my family members. Years ago this family member was diagnosed with sugar diabetes. Yes, it's that diabetes where the sugar level zooms up after consuming too much carbohydrate food.

The reality is it's type-2 diabetes that he suffers with, which can be controlled by diet.

When he discovered around five years ago he was in a panic. His wife was in a panic. She rode him to watch what he ate. As a result he went onto a careful diet, and began exercising like a fiend with his bicycle.
As a result he lost about 50 pounds. He got himself down to around 190-pounds.

Now that time has worn on, I was sitting with him at the kitchen table and saw that his belly was bulging again. The vibrant activity he was involved in is gone. His careful diet is gone. He doesn't check his blood sugar any more.

Here is the difference between him and I, I still write down everything I eat. I still weight myself just about every day. I am still aware of my weight each day. This includes my weight that has crept up each and every day.

I developed a habit that will eventually save me in the end. Yes, I am keenly aware of my failure to remain down at that 180-pound mark that I have held for at least one year. I know I am crashing into the wall at speed.

I know what caused the crash. Some of it was because I gave up caffeine. Yes, caffeine was that artificial stimulant that was helping me lose weight. Those many cups of coffee, and those large doses of diet soda, was the stimulant that helped me lose weight.

Two: I changed my diet by trying to eat only meat, protein, and fat. Basically I was trying to live by the Doctor Atkins Diet. Yes, contrary to the claims that if I ate only meat and fat, then one day I would stop craving carbohydrates, just flat out isn't true. I love chocolate. Guess what I was eating that helped zoom me up 10-pounds? It was chocolate. Chocolate Easter Eggs, chocolate bars, peanut butter bars, etc. , that's what I was eating. Is it any wonder I would gain weight?

Well that bag of chocolate that was in my refrigerator for two years is gone. I polished it off in very short order. Only that has had a crippling effect on my weight.

Don't think this weight gain hasn't brought me consternation. Some of my friends that peek in on this blog have given me commentary about my weight gain.

That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is I am further away from that final target weight of 160-pounds.

I hit 180-pounds. I managed to keep myself there for over one year. I tried, I mean tried to finally bust that 180-pounds and go down to 160-pounds. I ate 1,200 calories a day for weeks. I ate only meat, protein for weeks on end. I could not bust that 180-pounds.

I admit I was getting tired of the battle. I was getting tired of being hungry. I was getting tired by the shear monotony of my diet. As you can see I am crashing.

I have learned something from this. I like you wrestle with my desire to fill my tummy-tummy-tum-tum up to it's brimmy-brim-brim. I want to feel satisfied. It's not some of the some-of-the-time feeling of satisfaction.

As a result, I like you, am prone to crash. I have a tendency to forget why I embarked upon this voyage to lose weight. Since it's been a couple of years since I suffered from the debilitation I suffered from, I have lost will.

OH, but did I really forget? NO.... I want my 160-pounds. I want my skinny weight that I had years ago.

Will it be easy? NO... It's not easy. It so not easy that it sucks eggs. I hate the struggle still.

I hate this.....

I Am Gaining And Gaining: Oh My

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 189-pounds.

Yes you read that right. My 180-pounds that I managed to maintain for well over one year is beginning to slip away. This even after I have stepped up efforts to exercise by riding my 10-speed bicycle around town. One would think that would be good for a couple hundred calories burned off.

The weight keeps gaining. It doesn't seem to matter anymore if I maintain 1,500 or so calories. The weight is creeping on. I am wondering what's changed? Is it because I kicked the caffeine habit? Is it because I started experimenting with the iodine? Is it because I decided to try to eat only fat and protein?

I know over the Easter Holiday weekend I went crazy chowing down on the Chocolate Easter Eggs. That doesn't account for this steady increase in my weight.

I am now trying to diagnose what the issue is. I have been trying real hard to maintain 1,500 calories. It doesn't matter. I still keep gaining.

Guns Confiscated, And The Criminals Rule

Hello weight losing fans...

Hey, this is another one of those posts that isn't related to my weight losing blog.

Right now there is a gun registration bill in the Congress called HR 45. It will require all Americans who own a fire-arm to register for the right to own it.

This will only be the beginning of an all out effort by the U.S. Government to start grabbing guns. The complaints in the Media about the transportation of fire arms across the Mexican border is an example of the Propaganda the is being published to justify gun control.

In England the "Gun Grabbing British Government" banned hand guns. They made the British People turn their guns in. Well it is ending in a terrible set of circumstances for the British People.

Watch this Video:

There you have it folks. Those of you who are afraid of guns better realize your passivity, and fear will only subjugate you to people who don't care if you lose your rights, and your freedoms. This includes the U.S. Government, and the criminals that the government won't try to control.

The government wants you full of fear. If you are full of fear then you'll go to the Government for protection. Only the government wants to control you.

In England the crime rate has risen. Will the government give it's citizens back their guns? NO... It's because the government politicians ultimately want to run peoples lives.

It's high time we in America wake up and fight for our freedoms, and our rights.

Bye for now...

And that's the way it is...

I'm Still 11 Pounds Over My Record

Hello weight losing fans....

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 185.2-pounds.
That's after my morning bath....

I haven't been posting very much lately. It's mostly because I don't have an Internet connection. I have to go to a local library and post. Well, lately I have been at work so early, I haven't had much desire to go post when I get home. So, I haven't been posting.

I have also been unable to come up with any new and innovative ideas to post. When I was posting before, I would get one inspiration after another. I couldn't wait to post.

Now, I have said about all I can think of. My weight has been creeping up and down. I have been attempting to get a handle on it. Only, I am tired of eating 1,500 calories of food each day. The hunger at times get hard to bare. Not only that, it doesn't take very much food to break that 1,500 calorie barrier. It's frustrating to say the least.

Over the Easter holiday and many days leading up to that I went well over my 1,500 calorie target. It started with me attempting to lose more weight by using the Doctor Atkins's diet program. Well, I began craving carbohydrates.

According to the Atkins folks, if someone does the Atkins program correctly, then those carbohydrate cravings go away forever. The way they describe it, it's as if you go from being a "Carbohydrate caterpillar" to a "Non-carbohydrate Butterfly."
In a wink that carbohydrate junky is transformed to a fat eating, meat eater.

Well, I beg to differ with that thinking. I didn't stop wanting to eat my Cherry Filled Danish.
I didn't stop wanting to eat my ice cream.

So there you have it.... I too am a carbohydrate, sugar consuming, vegetable hating, steak eating, Cheetos chomping, pie-in-the-face, beer drinking, food consuming juncky.

Oh, how I wish I had those tight ABS that the Messiah, god like figure, that we all will bow down to worship Barack Hussein Obama has. Then everyone would love me.

Bye for now...

My Missing Days, And Those Missing Weights.

Hello weight losing fans....

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 187-pounds.

I haven't been able to consistently post each day because my work schedule has increased. I haven't been in any areas where I could get to a computer either.

For you fans of mine that keep checking in on my blog with your tongues hanging out in eager anticipation of some wise words of wisdom that will give you that weight losing edge, here are the missing numbers:
  • April 3, 2009; 185.8-pounds
  • April 4, 2009; 183.2-pounds
  • April 5, 2009; 186.8-pounds
  • April 6, 2009; 188.0-pounds
  • April 7, 2009; 186.6-pounds
  • April 8, 2009; 184.4-pounds
  • April 9, 2009; 183.8-pounds
  • April 10, 2009; 185.5-pounds
  • April 11, 2009; Not Available
  • April 12, 2009; 188-pounds

  • April 15, 2009; 189.4-pounds
  • April 16, 2009; 187.2-pounds
  • April 17, 2009; 187-pounds

There you have the missing statistics for my weight. Did you notice I came really close to 190-pounds? Whoa...

I quess I have been eating one too many chocolate eggs. A friend of mine and I were thinking I should change my mantra from "Eat Less Food," to "Eat More Food."

My friend asked me how I feel? Well, I feel the same. Folks it's not like I have regained that entire 60-pounds.

I haven't thrown in the towel completely on my weight here. I am not sitting around wringing my hands worrying "What will I do?"

I will get back down to 180-pounds. I may reach 160-pounds someday.

Bye for now...

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing ?????

Today I am sending out a post that I prepared yesterday.
It's important to understand that the United States of America is in real serious trouble under the new President Barrack Obama. He will be instituting laws that are destined to strip Americans of their Constitutional Rights.

His spending packages are destined to place a burden of debt upon America that will bring us into a third world status.

He is over in Europe today selling us out to the world.

The congress of the United States is locked arm and arm with Barack Obama to make their power indefinate as they make it impossibe to vote them out of office.

Please watch this video.

My Last Post For A While

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 186.2-pounds.

I am letting you know that I am going to be booked up for the next five days. I am not so sure I will be able to get to the library to post. Saturday and Sunday will be days for sure that I won't be posting. We'll see.

Anyway, what's up with my weight? I thought that my goal was to get down to 160-pounds? If that's true, then why am I going backwards?

I have been eating too much food. I have broken the 1,500 calorie barrier many days consecutively. Oh the shame...... I'm hanging my head now.

I gave up the coffee, and the caffeine. I think that has been my enabler to lose weight. The caffeine has given me an extra zip in the past. I have in turn been drinking decaffeinated coffee. I think this may have contributed to my body putting on the pounds.

So here is what I am going to do. I am going to stop drinking the decaffeinated coffee. I will drink water and milk for my liquids, and maybe some tea.

I have been eating at my 1,500 calorie intake the last couple of days. We'll see what happens.

I will be honest with you, I have been struggling with tremendous hunger. I hate it.

Are you ready for this one? Yesterday I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 189.4-pounds. That's not an April Fools Joke. That was my real weight in the morning yesterday. I was simply stammering with surprise.

It just goes to show that what I have been writting all along is true. We all eat too much food.

Warning: Muslims Making It Absolutely Clear They Intent To Hurt Americans

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 182.2-pounds.
That's up from yesterday.

The only reason I think this happened is because at lunch I drank 1/2 gallon of whole milk. That added 1,200 calories to my count for the day, and extra milk sugars.

Read The Interpretation Of A Muslim Scum Bag
When I began posting this particular blog, my intention was to use it for encouraging someone to lose weight. Sometimes I have modified my own rules and wrote something or put in a video that was completely unrelated to weight loss. I have a different blog that I had hoped to maintain with my other thoughts. Only, that blog has no onlookers.

Well, today I am breaking my own rules. I am clipping in a video of a Muslim Man who is speaking in Arabic. Down below is the English translation of what he is saying in his native language.

For years now I have have been warning friends and family that Islam is not a religion, but it is actually a belief system that enslaves it's people under men that are like little Hitlers. Islam is a believe system that seeks to completely control the individual in every aspect of his / her life.

Islam is very much like Fascism in that it can not be protested against or the protester is killed or maimed.

I can't go into all the particulars about Islam in this post. I will write this: I am sick and tired of the gullible, naive people who meet Muslims, and then assume they are the same as Western Americans.

You must understand that Muslims view Christians and Jews as the scum of the earth, and that it's their duty to dominate over them. There is nothing regenerative, or good in Islam. I repeat, there is nothing good or regenerative in Islam.

It is high time we Americans begin to realize that Islam in all it's forms is a danger to America.

Please watch this video before it gets knocked off the Internet. You'll have to read the English captions. Read them carefully and see this guy absolutely means business. He hates Americans, and he sees us as gullible and naive. Please pass this video to friends and family. Send out the Alert. Start waking up people to this.

Understand this may lead us to an internal war in this country. These people have every intention in misleading Americans, and then destroying us.

Muslim Scum Makes His Intentions Clear

I know that these words of mine may be disturbing. But, you must understand that our politicians are permitting thousands of these people to come to our country from places like Gaza, and Palestine as refugees, and they only want Islam.

I have friends that tell me we can get them they aren't dangerous. Well watch this video. Does this look like anyone you want coming to live in America?

Oh You Take Vitamins? Oh And You Are So Healthy?

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 181-pounds.

Two days ago I was looking through some of my old postings. I revisited one I wrote one year ago. I got a kick out of my make believe dialogue with a "Fat Lady."
So, I copied it here.

March 17, 2008 revisited: If You Are Overweight, So What If You Take Fish Oil?

Hello weight losing fans...
Today I stepped up onto that Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 179-pounds.That's not bad.

I am still up over my record.

But, I am back down under 180-pounds.This after having eaten so well yesterday morning. By 9:00 in the morning I had blown past my 2,000 calories for the day. I was given some hotel coupons by a friend and I used them to buy breakfast. I stuffed myself. Oink... Oink...

As a result of consuming so much food, I didn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. Oh, I had a couple glasses of wine when I got home last night. Then I went to bed. I was wiped out.

Fat Ladies Boasting About Eating So Healthy Yesterday
I was sitting at the computer in the business office area of the hotel. Outside of the door stood two large round ladies. These chicks were round.

One of them was boasting to the other about how healthy she eats. She was telling her friend that she takes fish oil, and vitamins, and all kinds of supplements.

The other said, "Yeah I gotta start doin' that too."

Now, any of you who have been reading my blog for mental nourishment over the last year, you pretty much know how I would have responded in the middle of that conversation. (Oh I make myself laugh: Mental Nourishment.)

Me: "Uh huh, I can tell lady you are eating real healthy there."
Me: "In fact I can tell you are eating real healthy there for everyone else in your family too."
Me: "I can tell that fish oil is doing you so much good girl."
Me: "Look how smooth and silky your skin is."
Me: "I can tell those vitamins are making you so fit."
Me: "Oh come on girl, where is your sister? She is in those bluejeans with you isn't she?"

I could go on with that dialog.

You know what I am getting at.

What difference does it make if you take vitamins, but you are round like a beach ball?

I took vitamins regularly for years. Maybe, maybe they helped me prevent cancer, and gave me some missing nutrients. They won't help you get fit if you keep eating and getting fatter. You can swallow a whole bottle of fish oil. If you don't keep down that food consumption, you will still get fat. Getting fat is a serious problem for the heart, and all those surrounding tissues.

In the end, it comes down to one thing: "Eat Less Food."

Well, Mr. Dane, you let yourself get fat. No, I didn't do it on purpose. I was searching for an answer. I am searching for an answer still. I still want to improve more.

If you are going to lose weight; you will have to "Eat Less Food."

Hello weight losing fans....

Today I don't have anything to write. I have a You Tube Video I think might give you a giggle.

I have a friend (Tony) that posted this video onto his Facebook Page. I reviewed the video and thought it fits what we the preponderants all seem to struggle with. I got a good laugh out of it. The title of the video is "Junk Food Junkie."

It seems to get right to the point.

No Unusual Thoughts For Today

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 182-pounds. That's down from yesterday

This time last year, March 16, 2008, I was 180.2-pounds. I would say that's holding the line.

Time and time again I have written I surely would like to get down to 160-pounds. Only, I can't crack this nut.

I have been holding the 1,500 calorie line. I have eaten only proteins and fats and turned the ketostix purple as they can be.

I have eaten green vegetables, salads, and proteins. Yet, here I stay at around 180-pounds.

Then I keep coming back to the computer to write the same news, 180-pounds give or take 4-5-pounds.

I would write some other thoughts. Only, every one is different. We all have different reasons we struggle with our weights. So what does it really matter what I write?

I surely wish that I could write that after over two years in this weight losing season I have conquered all the things which make us stumble. But, I haven't. Now, I haven't gone backwards like so many people have. I have been stable and consistent at my current weight.

I think this is an accomplishment. I have talked to people that are amazed I haven't regained all that weight I lost. I can't tell you how many people I have talked to that told me they lost weight, only to regain it all again.

Fortunately that's not me. I monitor my weight every day. That alone is more than most people seem to want to do. I take action if I see a problem.

Now don't ask me why I jumped from 177-pounds back over 180-pounds in less than a week. I can't answer that one. All of a sudden the weight piled on and here I am sitting over 180-pounds again. I am dumb founded.

Am I panicking? No... It seems that everything is going back down again. We'll see in the future.

The Weights Going Down

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 181.6-pounds.
This is down from yesterday, and for sure, the day before that.

I haven't got a clue why my weight jumped up like this. It just happened. I am scratching my head, and I am puzzled.

I have been looking at my calorie consumption. There was one day when I visited a family member when my calorie count went over by 1,000 calories. That can't be the reason my weight loss took a nose dive.

I have written about this before. There are days when the body can gain five pounds. It could be fluids. It could be waste by-products waiting to exit. It may just be a change in the regimen, like the time of day when foods consumed.

I have been eating later in the day. That might be the reason. I worked 18 hours yesterday. I ate a large lunch because I knew I wasn't going to get any kind of dinner. That long fast period may be why my weight was at a more reasonable level this morning.

It's safe to say, I have been inside my 1,500 calories. Yet, there it is, my weights over 180-pounds.

Will Iodine Help Me Change My Thyroid?

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 184.2-pounds.
Eek....!!!!

Oh I am not panicking. I stepped on the scale before I came here to the library and was at 183-pounds. This was after having eaten today, and having drank plenty of water, and some decaffeinated coffee.

Time and time again I have written that the body changes it's weight up and down. Since I know this is true, when I see this kind of weight, I don't panic.

It's true, I did go back to consuming a higher amount of carbohydrates than I was. I got tired of the meat, and eggs. As you can see everything changed. If one looked back to one year ago, I am about where I was this time last year. So nothing has really changed. This is why I am not out of my mind over this.

I would like to see myself down at 160-pounds. I have resolved in my mind that's going to be a long process.

Not so long ago I wrote about the thyroid gland. I wrote that many times people who have a thyroid that is slow, or low, (known as hypothyroidism) also struggle with obesity. Hypothyroidism usually shows up as a lower than average body temperature, which for many is actually 98.6-degrees Fahrenheit (F.).

I reasoned that this lower body temperature, which is something that I have, may be the real problem with me getting off these last twenty pounds. As a result, I have been experimenting by ingesting Iodine liquid three times a day. I have been taking my temperature and found it as low a 96-degrees F. This has been my impedes to ingest the iodine.

I have to be careful, because I might find myself changing over to hyperthyroidism, and give myself a goiter on my neck. So, I monitor my temperature three times a day just to see if my body ever gets up to or over the average of 98.6 degrees F.

So far I have been averaging a temperature of around 97-degrees F. Only once did I manage to get it up to 98.1-degrees F.

I am attempting with all of this to get my body warmed up. Some people would insist exercise, exercise, you'll do the same thing. Ummm, no I won't. It doesn't work that way.

I am figuring out that my low thyroid may very well be part of the reason I don't want to excerpt myself with any kind of exercise. It may also be part of the reason I have been so blasted forgetful lately. Yes, memory loss is one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism.

I shall see how I progress with this. Just to let you know the Iodine I am using is from Kelp. It's not a synthetic Iodine. It's supposed to be safe. We shall see.

My Weights Up, And I Am Not Discouraged For It

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 183.8-pounds.

OK, that's up six pounds from last week. So stinking what?

I am not sitting around wringing my hands in frustration over this. I am not even worried if my fan base of one person might be disappointed.

I lost sixty pounds. I didn't have anyone holding my hands and telling me what to eat. I had NO ONE.

I have read books and articles about losing weight. I know what has to be done. I am not losing weight for you, or anyone else.

I am losing weight for me.

I am the one who will decide when to exercise, if I deem it necessary, or I even feel like it. I am the one who will decide if I want to eat a giant bowl of cereal in the middle of the night.

Weights Up Again

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178.6-pounds.

Thyroid Health
Forty percent of the U.S. population has hypothyroidism, which is low thyroid function leading to a multitude of illnesses including heart disease and cancer.

So many people are on thyroid medication (hopefully on Armour natural thyroid), but all these people should also be taking iodine. The reason is that unless we get enough iodine with our thyroid supplement, we may be raising the risk of breast cancer and prostate cancer. The fact is if we had enough diet iodine, we wouldn’t have low thyroid function and wouldn’t need medication.

Hypothyroidism is a nutritional deficiency of the vital mineral iodine. It is extremely fundamental to health.

You can check your own thyroid function. It’s simply a matter of body temperature. The normal body temperature is 98.6º F. Take your underarm temperature in the morning before you get out of bed and as you wake up, preferably with a shake down mercury thermometer. Leave the thermometer on the nightstand or table by your bed at night. Take your morning temperature at rest, underarm temperature for five days in sequence and record your average—which you get by adding them up and dividing by five.

If you are as much as one degree under 98.6, you are hypothyroid and you at least need daily iodine supplementation. I can’t go into it here, but conventional blood tests in a doctor’s clinic do not accurately show your thyroid function. Tens of thousands of people are struggling daily with low energy and obesity just because a blood test showed “normal” thyroid function. Do the body temperature test on yourself and your family.

If your thyroid is two to four degrees low, you need thyroid hormone by prescription from your doctor. Ask for the Armour natural. You should also take daily iodine supplement (see below for sources and amount).

Iodine displaces or flushes chlorine, bromine, fluorine, lead, cadmium, arsenic, aluminum and mercury with safety. In today’s world this is huge!

Sources and Amounts of Iodine
I have never read of any injury because of iodine but don’t take more than 12 to 14 milligrams daily. Japanese researchers say that they have found cases of hypothyroidism caused by excess iodine, 20 mgs daily or more.

Lugol’s iodine is an old favorite. Two to four drops in water for an adult would be okay.
Iodoral from compounding pharmacies and some health food stores—one tablet daily.
Another choice is Prolamine Iodine. This is an all-natural, vegetarian source.
All three can be purchased from Amazon.com.
Iodine is powerful and can be used in many ways. It’s an excellent water purifier. It can cure infection.

If you like are struggling with that so called low metabolism, try taking your temperature. If it's low as I have written above. You may very well be able to fix if by ingesting more iodine.

Of course I am not a doctor. Sometimes though I wonder if doctors are that up on the power of nutrition aiding in healing the body, and maintaining it at normal levels. That again is my opinion.

Hello weight losing fans...

I am not happy about this. I should be about 174-pounds by now. Nope, it's not happening.

Today I got off work. I went home and weighed myself. I was 180.2-pounds. So, tomorrow, I'll be around 178-pounds. Gee, I'm making progress. NOT!

I'm Still Hoping This Method Might Work

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178.2-pounds. That's down from yesterday.

On this day last year, March 3, 2008, I was 182.2-pounds. OK, so I have held the line. I sure haven't seen much progress.

Trying To Get The Glucose In The Fat To Burn
Yesterday I mentioned that I am using Ketostix to check if I am pumping out Ketones. This morning I used the strips, and the results were positive. I turned the strip purple.

According to what I have read when someone has body fat, they have stored energy. That stored energy is Glucose that's been linked together. Glucose is sugar. Fat is links of Glucose. Only they aren't linked like chains as we see links in a chain. The molecules of Glucose are actually knit together in molecules which makes them into fat.

Fat molecules are difficult for the body to break apart. It's actually easier for the body to consume protein molecules than fat molecules. This is why when dieting people need to consume protein.

The body uses glucose (a sugar) to provide the energy it needs to power up it's many functions. Without glucose in the blood the body would quickly run out of energy, and then die. It's called starvation.

If someone has large deposits of body fat, he / she has large storage areas of energy. Remember that fat is knitted chains of sugar.

Someone who's fat, can live longer than someone who's skinny if denied food. Water would still be necessary of course.

I still have 20-pounds or so of body fat. I know because I can see it around my gut. I have a few weeks of energy sitting there around my middle doing nothing but jiggling.

I have a dilemma. I want to get rid of that fat. I have been successful getting rid of 60-pounds by cutting down my calories for a long period of time now.

I am attempting to get at the fat around my waste by doing something called induction by the Atkins Nutritional Approach.

The system is simple enough. The body needs glucose for energy. The body gets most of it's glucose from the carbohydrates that I consume. If I've cut out carbohydrates, IE sugars, breads, potatoes, and some vegetables, my body has now been denied one source of glucose.

Since the body doesn't have a regular source of glucose that it can use from food, it now has no choice but to search out other sources of glucose. That source is supposed to be my fat stored on my body. Well, it's supposed to be...

I read in a blip in one of the Atkins's books a phrase that warned about consuming too much protein. The author stated the body can convert some protein into fats. How, I don't know.

This is why I have been so careful to watch my calorie counts with the proteins that I am consuming as well as the kind of protein I consume.

One other source of glucose is if the body can split the fat molecules from foods eaten with the proteins. It's much harder for the body to split these fat molecules. Therefore I can consume fat and not worry about it being a problem. Again, I count those fat calories as well.

This morning I fried two eggs. I added 20 calories of fat because of the grease the eggs might have absorbed.

I wrote all that to say this: "What in the world is wrong?" I didn't even consume 1,500 calories yesterday. When I added in my one 7-ounce glass of wine, I didn't have 1,500 calories.
I checked my sugar grams, and the glass of wine added about 4 grams of sugar.

I checked my urine and that one glass actually slowed my progress. Apparently, I am so carbohydrate sensitive, I don't need many grams of carbohydrate to stop the fat burning.

By my estimates, I ought to be down 5-6-pounds by now. I should be stepping on the scale weighing in below 175-pounds.

I am not.

This has me perplexed. And, it brings to mind some myths that I am discovering:

Myth #1: The Atkins Nutritional Approach works every time, for everyone.

Myth #2: If someone does the Atkins Nutritional Approach properly, they will never crave sweets again. I wish right now I were chowing down on an Ice Cream Sunday.

Myth #3: If someone does the Atkins Nutritional Approach they will never struggle with hunger.
I ate three hours ago, and my stomach is churning for more food.

Myth #4: It doesn't matter what kind of protein you eat, as long as it doesn't have carbohydrates. Well, I've been eating eggs, and meat, I haven't lost one pound.

I could go on with my myths. I don't have the time to complete this today.

I am not saying that someone shouldn't attempt to use the Doctor Atkins Nutritional Approach to lose weight. It worked a couple times in the past for me. Only, don't be surprised if you do it, and you do it properly, and still don't get the desired results.

I am holding on to the idea, that it's ultimately how much food we consume that gets us into trouble. The body only needs so much energy to operate. If we put too much food in to the body, with most people, it will end up stored as fat.

The trick to learn is how much food is necessary. Each person is different. For me, I don't think I can get away with too much more than fifteen hundred calories a day. This might be all I ultimately need.

Look how long I have gone these last years by consuming on most days around 1,500 calories.
It's been over two years. I am not dead yet.

If you are serious about losing weight then you'll have to tinker with those numbers. It's a sure bet, judging by the number of preponderant people I see each day, most people don't even try to tinker with their numbers.

Purple's In

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 179.2-pounds.
That's up from yesterday. It ought not be.

I have read again some of the chapters of the Atkins's Nutritional System.
In my reading I found that when doing the induction system of Atkins there is a simple way to check my fat burning progress.
The device used to test fat burning is a Ketostix which can be purchased in bundles at the local Pharmaceutical Store.

I have been using test strips regularly to see if I am indeed burning fat. When the strip stays beige after being dipped in urine it means that there is no fat burning going on.
When the strip turns purple it means that a significant amount of keytones are passing out of the body. This is supposed to represent that my body is burning off significant amounts of fat.

This morning when I awoke, I tested my urine. The strip turned a deep purple. When I stepped up onto the scale I found I had gained weight.

I have been turning these test strips purple for days now. I should be down a significant amount of pounds. So it's said in the Atkins literature.

I have been practicing this phase of induction for what may be about two weeks. I have also been keeping my calorie count down. I should be at least 5 pounds below 180-pounds by now.

Nope, it's not happening. Purple is in with my Ketostix. I am not showing any real progress.

Now, I am going to get some zealous Atkins person pop in and tell me, "Go out and exercise."
You know what? When I lost 60-pounds in 2001-2002 using Atkins, I didn't break a sweat.
In other words, I didn't exercise at all.

I am waiting to see if I don't have one of those days where I wake up and I will see a very large drop in weight. I am thinking that I am at a very stubborn set point here.

When I lost sixty pounds during this weight loss season, I had days where my weight just dropped. I used to hit a set point, and stay there a while, then suddenly the weight would drop.

I will see if I am right. I am going to maintain this strategy. I am going to see if my weight won't change suddenly.

I am now eating meat, fish, fat, and cottage cheese. I have cut out carbohydrates, and sugars. I have for the most part cut out caffeine with my coffee.

I keep thinking I only have to get off 20-pounds. How hard can that be? Guess what? It's hard to do....

Trying To Get To That Illusive 160-Pounds

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178.4-pounds. That's the same as yesterday.

This is a better weight than 365 days ago, March 1, 2009, which was 182.4-pounds. I am doing better than last year.

Yesterday I wrote about my attempt to get down these last 20-pounds. I have been eating few carbohydrates. I have kept my caloric intake down. Yet, it doesn't seem to matter.

This morning I woke up and then tested my urine. My test strip turned purple. It's beige if it's neutral.

My past experience with those results was that I was churning off the body fat. It's said by the Doctor Atkins Crowd that this is so as well.

To say the very least, I am scratching my head, perplexed. I have reduced the calories. That worked for a while. Now, I am turning ketosis sticks bright purple. Yet, My weight is sitting stubbornly as this 180-pounds, or so.

I have a friend who says go out and exercise like a fiend. Well, that isn't going to happen soon.

My Diet Change Efforts Aren't Working

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178.4-pounds.
That's down some.

I have been attempting to make a push for the illusive 160-pounds. I have gone so far as to reduce my carbohydrate intake down to almost none.

I have kept the caloric intake at around 1,500-calories. I have been practicing what is essentially called induction by the folks at Atkins.

Here is what I am finding. It doesn't matter. This morning I awoke and tested my urine. The test strip turned dark purple. This is supposed to mean that the body is stripping fat for it's glucose and kicking out the ketones as waste.

During the last few days, I have been turning the strips various forms of pink, to purple. Here I am sitting at the same weight.

Many years ago, I did this same thing and stripped sixty pounds of fat off my body. Now, I can't make a dent in my weight loss progression.

There isn't much I can do. I am at 1,500 calories a day. I am eating low carbohydrates. It's not working.

Oh well...

My Weight Isn't Changing Much

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178.2-pounds.
That's down.
It's no where I want it to be.

I have been attempting to get my weight to change by reducing my carbohydrate intake. I have been eating more protein and fat. I have kept myself at 1,500 calories or so.
It hasn't been working.

I have read in the Doctor Atkins's Diet books that if someone can give up the sweets, then he / she will never crave them again. For some people that might be true. For me, it's not.

I still remember what a big cinnamon roll tastes like. I like Ice Cream, and chocolate cake. I still find myself wanting to eat a Snickers bar.

Honestly, I don't know what the Atkins's people are talking about. I did the Doctor Atkins's Diet years ago. I had success with it. I never lost my desire to chow down on something sweet. I never lost my desire to drink beer. Those desires never went away.

These last twenty pounds that I am attempting to lose are tough to lose. I am telling you it's not easy to get them off. My body just stays right here at around 180-pounds.

I have been at 1,500 calories a day for a long time. I have been consistent over this week. The scale moved down a few pounds, then it bounced back to almost 180-pounds.

So, for you that are struggling to get those last pounds off, don't lose heart. It's because I think this is a common issue with most people. The body gets stuck, and that's that.

Back Under 180-Pounds, No Real Change In My Diet

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 177.6-pounds. That's down from yesterday. It's also only just 3.6-pounds over the record of 174-pounds.

Last year around this time I was over 180-pounds. I don't have the weight for last year, it's question marks. I looked at the days around the 25Th of February 2008, and found that I was up over 180-pounds.

I am surprised because this is a dramatic turn around. Only five days ago I was weighing in at 183.6-pounds. Hmmmm....?

Now, I haven't been doing anything different than I did except making darn sure I keep myself at my 1,500 calorie limit for the day. I have also made sure that I am avoiding as much sugar as I can. I have upped my ratio of protein to carbohydrates. I am eating more protein, and lowered those carbohydrates.

I am happy to see this downward trend. I am wondering how long it will last. I am wondering if I am now heading down toward 160-pounds.

We will see...

My Attempt To Quit Drinking Coffee
I have been a coffee drinker since I have been 19 years old. My addiction to coffee started when I joined the U.S. Army.

In the Mess Hall I frequented there was an open coffee fixture that could be accessed as many times as I wanted to walk back to it and fill my cup. I used to fill those white mugs time and time again, and then would add a thick layer of milk.

When I was in the field. Civilians call it camping. We called it field training. I remember getting the instant coffee packets in my rations kit. I would fill the tin metal field cup with water and then boil it over the stove in the tent. I then added my instant coffee. More often then not, it was way too strong. I drank it anyway.

At the Mess Tent, the coffee was brewed in a very large metal pot that was as tall as a kitchen trash can. It was just like in the movie "Mash." The mess cook would fill the pot with water and then dump the grounds of coffee directly into the coffee. The coffee was cooked not brewed.
This made a very strong brew. We would then ladle the liquid coffee off the top of the grounds that settled to the bottom of the pot.

That strong brew which was loaded with caffeine helped to hook me on coffee. Which is a habit I have had since.

After I left the military, and attended college, I used to sit in the local restaurant and drink pots of coffee late into the night.

My point is, I have been drinking coffee for years. I continued my addiction for caffeine throughout the day drinking Coke, and Diet Coke.

About three weeks ago, I decided to kick the Caffeine habit. I have been attempting to go cold turkey by just quiting the coffee, the Diet Coke, and Diet Dr. Peppers.

I am trying to give up my need for caffeine as a pick me up in the morning when I wake up. I am hoping that this is the reason I am seeing this progression in my weight going down. I am not sure that's it.

I haven't kicked caffeine completely because I still drink tea. I have cut the caffeine in half. It's a definite reduction in caffeine. I have been able to go days without my caffeine fix.
Maybe this is helping.

Vitamin D3 A Necessary Supplement

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178.6-pounds.
Well, that's certainly better than it's been. Of course, like always, I'm not taking bets it will stay there.

I will put my weight in later today. < (For you checking in: I added in my weight later in the day.)

I have an article that I hope you will read. It's from the Daily Herald newspaper. I have been touting the benefits of Vitamin D3. I started using Vitamin D3 over six months ago, and it has done wonders for my knees. They were in such bad shape that I couldn't get down onto the ground anymore. I couldn't do squats. Since I took the Vitamin D3 I have lost the severe soreness in my knees, and I am able to do complete squats. My right shoulder was in a lot of pain too. It heeled up. If you have arthritis, this may be a help for you. I am attaching the article and you can click it to get to the Daily Herald page.

Sudden Decent Below 180-Pounds

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 179.6-pounds. That's back down under 180-pounds.

This time last year, 365 days ago, I was 181.8-pounds.

Well, I haven't posted since Friday when I had admitted to jumping back over 180-pounds.

So for the curious out there who might want to know how I have been doing over the weekend here are the numbers: On Saturday, February 21, 2009 I was 183.8-pounds. On Sunday, February 22, 2009 I was down at 182-pounds.

That happened then I woke up this morning back under 180-pounds.

I think my jump in weight was only because I was staying at a family members home. I was eating later in the day as a result. If I am not working I usually try to stop eating dinner, or anything else before 6 PM. Well, I was breaking my own rules.

There was one day in there where I really over ate and got up to 3,000 calories. I don't think that's what broke the camels back for my weight jump. Although if I had kept it up for a few more days then for sure I would be sitting up around 185-pounds. That's not what I want to see.

I am still at it fighting the "Battle of the Buldge." I am still dreaming of the day when I can get down to 160-pounds. I do wonder if I will make it. My body seems so happy at this 180-pounds.
I have found that I am able to stay here and still eat a few extra goodies once in a while.

I guess I am not so really determined to reach 160-pounds. Many, many people think I would look too skinny at 160-pounds. I don't know why. But, I think this has effected my thinking some.

The U.S. Government Has Taken A Big Leap Forward Imposing Obecity Laws Today

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 179.8-pounds.
That's down from yesterday.

Well, that didn't take long. Phew...

Coming In The Next Two Years: FAT POLICE
Hey, when I was driving over here to write this blog post I heard our god, (and he does think he's god) Barack Hussein Obama saying that the government plan he's signing will help impose a plan to prevent preventable diseases.

What is this man God? He thinks he is. And here is how he plans on forcing you to prevent decease. Just like we have to take our cars to the pollution center to have our exhaust checked, the government will require by law that we Americans get a physical at least once a year. Yeah, that's right, they will make you get a physical.

With his new digitized medical records your doctor will have to put your height and weight into a government computer. That computer will be set to go off and highlight your name if it sees your height and weight don't meet the government specifications. If you don't meet the specifications, then you will be given notice by the government that you have so much time to get your weight down. You will be given a new date for a physical. If by that time you don't get your height and weight into specifications, then the government will force you to join a government approved service that will aid you to lose weight. I am not sure they won't force that right away.

If you can afford the plan, then you will pay for the government approved service out of your pocket. If you can't afford it then the government will pay for it. However, those money restrictions will be so tight, most everyone will pay for it out of their pockets.

Next, let's say you can't get the weight off. The government will force you onto medication that will make you lose weight. It doesn't matter if it makes you sick, they won't care.

Your records will be permanently marked that you violated government guidelines for obesity.

If in the future you develop illnesses that are considered related to obesity, then you will be blamed for the problem.

Get ready for the Obesity onslaught. You will be seeing all over the TV, and hearing on the radio the warnings about being obese.

Who's Lining Up For The Government Payout?
Now, who do you think is lining up for the government certification in the United States for Medicare rebates, and other government finance programs. You get one guess: That's right "Weight Watchers" is.
See: "Doctors Back Medicare Weight Watchers Rebate Scheme."

Yes, the same people who put over priced food in fancy packages, and sprinkle it with magical Pixie Dust, are asking for medicare to reimburse fat people for going to their program. Not only is this so, but soon they will be working for that mandatory part of the government fat prevention program. And you thought "Weight Watchers" cared so much for you.

It doesn't matter that Weight Watchers is as useless as tits on a bull. No, it doesn't matter that time after time I have run into people who have failed with the "Weight Watchers" program. My mother is one of them, my cousins too. Nope, Weight Watchers is big enough and powerful enough to lobby the government to have their way.

I hate the weight watchers mentality. These people seem like zombies, and they defend weight watchers so profusely. These are people who really believe that weight watchers has cornered the market on food, and nutrition. It doesn't matter that people can't figure out how to count calories, and carbs for themselves, like I do. Yes, I now count carbohydrates vs my other food, such as proteins. I added it to my program recently.

Recently I haven't felt like writing a whole lot about anything because most people can go all over the Internet, and get a mountain of information about weight losing. Nothing I am writing is really so profound.

This is though: The government wants your money. They don't care if you are obese, they see a money making machine in the fat people. They see taxes and fines that they can levy against you.

So, you think I am wrong? You think I am out of my mind?
Read this: Obesity Fines

Here is the funniest part about this. The people, 99 % of the blacks in America, who voted Barack Hussein Obama into office, will be the first people he harasses with his new laws. In the black population the obesity epidemic is far worse than in the Caucasian population. The very people who thought they would get free gasoline, rent, and homes will be in for a rude awakening as the Marxist Barack Hussein Obama levels his sights on the very people who voted for him.

See: Health Before Liberty

He's in power now, and he has a compliant Democratic Congress, and house. They will move quickly to enact laws that will keep them in power forever. That's right, Barack Obama wants to stay in the Presidency for as long as he can. The only one who can remove him from office will be an act of God himself.

Forget term limits on the Presidency, the congress will vote them out. Forget, the Constitution of the United States, Barack Obama said that the founding fathers lacked insight into the future. So what do you think is going to happen?

My guess is you fatties out there in the United States are in for a shock. Yep, the warnings have been going out for years now. Has anyone noticed? Has anyone taken heed? NO, they haven't.

Let me give you a suggestion: "Eat Less Food." If you don't, then the government will make you.
Their plan is to make you a criminal. That's right, you'll be a criminal for being obese.

Expect suicide rates to increase as a result
For most people, being obese is a deeply emotional issue. It's hard to deal with the stigmatising that is imposed on obese people.

The government bureaucrats don't care if you are suffering emotionally, they will coldly tell you lose weight. Mean while in the Congress you will see people who are fat, and getting fatter. This is because these people are above the law.
You will see, as I see police who are fat. Yet, these will be the people who will get to arrest you and throw us into a fat camp.

As a result of increased pressure from a government that ultimately has been taken over by a bunch of psychopaths, fat people will suffer. They are the governments excuse for raising money. As a result of being the targets of a government crack down, I am predicting, these poor fat people will kill themselves.

They won't be able to absorb the added hype and stigmatising the News Media with it's brainless socialist beauty queens will impose over the airwaves. They won't be able to handle the fines, and the costs that will be imposed on them. They will resort to self inflicted suicide.

Don't think the government doesn't want that either. Remember something our government has been taken over by people who ultimately want control over peoples lives. Just look as Barack Hussein Obama, he absolutely loves the adoring fans he has. And he's real good at deflecting blame for things. The blacks won't know what hit them.

You think I am kidding? George Bush Redefines Conservative

I don't want to see these events take place. However, we are headed in that direction. New York has already put and 18 % tax on sodas, and sweet drinks.

Here is what's really sad, the skinny people. The people who deem themselves more normal than you and I, they want the "Fat Tax." There are a lot of people out there who view you and I the odd balls of society. We are the misfits because we're fat.
Read and watch this : "Selling the New York Obesity Tax."

Now, are you are gullible enough to buy the lies of this fascist? It seems that most of New York is. When are people going to stand up to these people? Will you?

Write a letter to your editor. Write a letter to the Congress. Tell them mind there own business. I fear it's too late for that.

We are the Preponderants. We have a big red target on our fat bodies. We aren't well liked by many. I am so sorry to write that.

So, just in case you think I am crazy, read this final article in the Washington Post: What the candidates had to say about childhood obesity.

The truth is, these government bureaucrats only want to micromanage your life, and mine.

Today Is Better Than Last Year

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178-pounds.

On this day one year ago, February 13, 2008, I was 182.6-pounds. Yep, it's just like last year the weight goes up, and the weight goes down.

So far, I have been able to keep it just under 180-pounds. I'd like to be down at 170-pounds and hovering around there. Argh... it's a challenge for sure.

Tomorrow I am supposed to go to my cousin's for the night. We are planning on taking her son to the lake to ice fish. Well, that's what we planned. Right now, I don't think there's that much ice anymore since we had a 62 degree Fahrenheit day. Every day since then the temperature has been over the melting point of ice.

My point is this, I call her my "Evil Cousin." Not because she's evil, but because she is always pushing the cake and candy on me. She won't take no for an answer when I tell her I don't want the cake. Of course, I really want the cake. She only weakens my resolve, and puts the temptations in my way.

So, today is probably my last post for the next few days. So sorry, you'll just have to do without my deep insights into human psychology, my deep ruminations, my incredible resolve, etc., etc..
Oh, I make myself laugh.

We'll see how well I do up at my "Evil Cousins."

Wooo Hooo, I Beat Last Years Numbers

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 176.6-pounds.
That's down from yesterday.

On this day February 10, 2008, one year ago, I was 177.2 pounds.

Woo Hoooo... that beats last years number.

How about that? I have managed to hang in their for over one year, and remained stable.

How? It's because I watch what I eat. It's because every single day I weigh myself. I never take for granted that I will be able to keep my weight on track just weighing in once a week.

I am a nut about what I eat, and write it down.
This last Sunday I went to my cousins. She insisted I eat what she made. She insisted I eat some of her cake. I had no way of calculating the calories. I estimated the portions, and the ingredients, and wrote down what I thought I was eating.

The next day I adjusted for my eating so much the day before. I cut out some calories.

This is how I have maintained for the last year.
Oh, I have had my days when I went over board. As you can see, I have recovered.

New Diet, Get Gastroenteritis

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 176-pounds.
That's down from yesterday.

On this day February 4, 2008 one year ago, I was 181.4-pounds.

I am not banking on this weight staying here at 176-pounds. I didn't get to this weight because of my tremendous self discipline. I got gastroenteritis commonly called the stomach-flu.
Because of that I went for over 24 hours without consuming any solid food.

Here is a thought, if you want to lose weigh suddenly find somebody with gastroenteritis, and get them to kiss you. Then you'll get sick like I did, and lose weight. Then we can call it the "Gastroenteritis Diet."

Naw, I was miserable for the last two and a half days. Fortunately so far no other viruses have jumped on board and added to my complications.

So there we have it. I am down four pounds in about two days time. It's not something I recommend doing. It has put me 2-pounds over my record weight of 174-pounds.

Let's Move To Something More Fun
I have a friend who made a cute video. His took the Lord's Prayer and put some new words to it and some pictures that we preponderants can appreciate.

If you click on the video I have attached I think you might get a kick out of it.

I Have The Stomach Flu, And The Weight Is Down

Hello weight losing fans...

Today I stepped up onto the Magical-Mystical-Digital-Scale weighing in at 178-pounds.
Right now I am actually less than that. I haven't eaten anything in over 24 hours. I have the stomach-flu and the food hasn't been staying where it should.

I have had all of the symptoms of the stomach-flu. There is one I didn't expect. I have lost my appetite. That's right, I am not hungry, and I don't feel like eating anything.

Yesterday I wasn't hungry in the morning when I woke up. I didn't really want to eat anything because I had spend part of the early morning hours in the bathroom. You know what was happening of course. Well, I drank down four scoops of protein powder because I figured I should eat something before I go to work. I haven't had any food since.

I got home from work last night, went to bed, and spent the rest of my time sleeping and racing to the bathroom.

I got up and came to blog. I am going back to bed when I get home. This isn't one of those twenty four hour bugs.

Oh by the way, on this day one year ago, I was 181.4-pounds. I am holding the line. In this case I had no real choice. I can't say that this change in my weight is because of my ability to avoid food. It's only because I am sick.

On all the days that I haven't been posting, I came in at 180-pounds even up each morning. Believe it, or not.

Bye for now...
