A Simple Foam Roller For The Back....

Hello Weight Losing Fans...

Today  I stepped up onto the New Magical Mystical Digital Scale weighing in at 215-Pounds.
That's the same as yesterday.

As you can tell by my posts I haven't been writing a lot about my weight losing experience. There really isn't very much to say.

I get up, eat a skimpy meal, go to work, eat, sleep, and then go to work.

My mantra has always been "Eat Less."

Today I decided to write about something that I have kept quiet for well over a year.
I have had serious pain in the bottoms of my feet when I get up in the morning. I have been tested for diabetes, and that isn't the apparent cause.

It all started last year when I decided to start walking in January to "trim up." Well, that did something to me and I sustained an injury to my knee. Something popped in my knee when I was walking on the indoor track. After that it was down hill...

I quit walking when my knee swelled up and I began limping every day.  I rested my knee and tried to let it heal. It seemed to get better.  About eight months later I went walking again. My knee popped again.

This began an ordeal of constant pain in my knee. That pain seemed to start a problem in my left heal. I began having problems in my legs because of the constant compression of the underside of my thighs while driving.

This last year has been a constant, day-in-day out problem with pain in my knee, and feet.

About a month ago I drove some girls to the college to play volley ball. They came out of the event carrying these black rolls that are six inches in diameter, and twelve inches long.

Someone gave me one of these odd little foam rolls.

I started using it to roll on my back side on top of the floor. Instantly I could hear, and feel my bones popping and snapping in my back.

I have been working at this for almost a month just about every day. The results have been that my feet and knee hurt less. My knee has been healing up. Although I believe there is some serious degeneration in the tissue, the result being a trick knee.

When I wake up in the morning the bottoms of my feet don't hurt nearly as much.

I started riding my bike a little bit. And that seems to help some a little bit too....

If you have problems with your back, you may want to buy one of these foam rollers for your back. It sure costs less than a doctors visit.

That's the way it is....I'm David Dane

I've been using tennis balls to massage my spine. It has helped my sciatica and my knee problem. There is also a yoga stretch I found on youtube that has helped the sciatica tremendously.

Driving long distances about killed me--the sciatica was excruciating. Its' no longer a problem.

My knee problem started after taking Lipitor for a couple of years--it causes muscle degeneration and when the muscles are affected, the tendons and joints are affected as well.

All the time I was on Lipitor I was unable to exercise because I was constantly getting injured. I'd cease the exercise, heal and when I began again, something as simple as walking caused a new injury. I think statins are bad news for many people.

Doctors don't want to admit that statins cause these type of problems though--all they are interested in is getting your cholesterol number lower in spite of the fact that there is no proof of increased life span for the majority of people.
