Did You Watch My Video?

Hello Weight Losing Fans...

Today I stepped up onto the New Magical Mystical Digital Scale weighing in at 212.4-Pounds.

That's three days in a row.

Did you view the You Tube Video that I posted on my BLOG yesterday. The woman speaking wrote about the Vegan Myth. She states categorically that the vegetarian diet isn't all that it's cracked up to be. She also stated that the societies who were hunter, gatherer societies, and chowed down on large portions of animals organs, and meat were the most healthy. They didn't suffer with cancers like our modern society does.

The biggest indictment is the amount of corn and sugar our society consumes. She said cancer is fed by "Sugar." She said with out sugar, cancer can't grow. Well that's something to think about now isn't it?

That's the way it is... I'm David Dane

I finally got to watch the video...very informative and interesting. I fully agree with her about eating meat and how we need to get back to farming--grass fed beef vs. corn fed factory farmed beef; and that the earth will renew itself given the chance.

Do not agree with her point that capitalism is a bad model. What determines if capitalism will be good or bad is dependent upon the capitalist. A capitalist whose only concern is the bottom line is a bad capitalist. A capitalist who balances the bottom line with justice, fairness and charity with regard to God and his neighbor is a good capitalist. Sort of like guns--they can destroy in the wrong hands and protect in the right hands.

Anyone who has lived long enough can connect the health issues we have today with the change in our diets. When I was a kid sodas were a rare treat, same for candy, and junk food was rarely consumed. Today it is eaten on a daily basis. In grade school we were taught to eat from the five food groups and soda, candy, junk food, etc were not in any of those groups.

Also, replacing coconut oil and lard with the poly and mono-unsaturated oils was a huge mistake. As was promoting a low fat diet. And still there are people and doctors perpetuating the myth of the benefit of those.

Thanks for sharing the video. She does a good job explaining the issues in a brief amount of time.
